The programs and services that we offer include:

Do you have to be Catholic to receive services through New Hampshire Catholic Charities?
No. We serve people because we are Catholic and not because the people we serve are or are not. You do not need to be Catholic to receive help through New Hampshire Catholic Charities.
What portion of my contribution goes to the Diocese of Manchester?
Though New Hampshire Catholic Charities is the service arm of the church, it is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your gift to New Hampshire Catholic Charities will be used to support the mission, clients, and programs of New Hampshire Catholic Charities.
How is New Hampshire Catholic Charities related to the Diocese of Manchester?
New Hampshire Catholic Charities is the service arm of the Diocese of Manchester, but we are a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with our own finance department, policies and procedures, bank accounts, and human resources department.
I donated to the Bishop's Charitable Fund. Is that the same thing as giving to New Hampshire Catholic Charities?
No. A donation(s) made to the Bishop's Charitable Fund is not the same as giving to New Hampshire Catholic Charities. Donations made to the Bishop's Charitable Fund are for diocesan charitable donations. Donations for New Hampshire Catholic Charities must be made out to New Hampshire Catholic Charities and mailed to:

Is New Hampshire Catholic Charities part of a national organization?
Yes. New Hampshire Catholic Charities is a member and affiliate of Catholic Charities USA, one of the nation's largest private networks of social service providers. Catholic Charities' agencies and institutions nationwide provide vital social services to people in need, regardless of their religious, social, or economic backgrounds. Catholic Charities USA supports and enhances the work of its membership by providing networking opportunities, national advocacy and media efforts, program development, training and technical assistance, and financial support.

What opportunities are there for volunteers?
Volunteers are essential to the work that we do at New Hampshire Catholic Charities. Without their support, we would not be able to provide all the services that we offer to those in need.
Volunteer opportunities range from sorting food at the New Hampshire Food Bank to volunteering time to visit people at one of our rehabilitation and nursing centers to being part of an event committee. For a list of current opportunities, click here .
I have some clothing and household items to donate. Does New Hampshire Catholic Charities accept these types of donations?
New Hampshire Catholic Charities does not generally accept clothing or household items. However, St. Vincent de Paul Society thrift stores do and we often refer people in need of clothing/household item assistance to St. Vincent de Paul Society thrift stores.
